For more than 140 years, Halifax Society for the Blind has worked to reduce the impact of sight loss. This makes us one of the oldest local charities in Calderdale. Sight loss impacts directly on one in five lives. We have proud history of arranging services for people – from education and basic work skills at our beginning, and have evolved into our current range of modern and relevant services.
Our mission statement
“To support, empower, and inspire local people with sight loss.”
